Dear little Gabriel,
It was really nice meeting you yesterday, I hope one day I can see you again. Even though you are faced with heart failures, to me you have the strongest heart ever, the fact that you had so many tubes attached to you, you were still able to laugh whole-heartily at your dad’s jokes and create your own the whole time. Stay strong little one.

He really touched my heart the other day; the way he leaned on me when he was exhausted from being in the hospital the whole day, the way he held my finger to try to communicate with me, the way he hugged his father, the way he said “i love you” and understands what his father had sacrificed for him. His father almost burst into tears telling me his story of worries. Syracuse is such a broken place, with broken families and broken broken spirits; I want to contribute to the healing of this place.
